Same league, same name, much better home. Fantasy Troupe is now one of the games on Reality Draft, our fantasy platform for reality TV. That means a live draft room, automatic weekly scoring, trades, and a leaderboard that updates itself — no more spreadsheets and manual bonus tallies.
Season 35 is close. The full celebrity and pro pairings are announced September 2 on Good Morning America, and the two-night premiere airs September 15 and 16 on ABC and Disney+. The draft opens the moment those pairings drop — and this year you pick your own troupe. No random assignment.

Welcome to Fantasy Troupe, a just-for-fun fantasy league created by Stitch and Snare, for fans of Dancing With the Stars! In this blog, we’ll tell you how we are playing our unofficial DWTS Fantasy League. Whether you’ve been watching since Season 1 or are just discovering the glitter and glam, Fantasy Troupe is here to make every cha-cha, paso doble, and rumba even more fun this season!
How Fantasy Troupe Works
Keep track of your team score and leaderboard standing on fantasytroupe.com. Each week, we’ll track celebrity–pro pairings and update your personalized dashboard. Don’t forget to submit your bonus scores before the episode airs for a chance to gain extra points and make sure you stay in the game by voting for your team!
Scoring is simple: if your star earns 20 points and your pro earns 15, your Fantasy Troupe earned a total of 35 for the week. If you miss a show or forget a bonus submission, don’t worry, there are weekly opportunities to double your score, plus extra points available during the Dancing with the Stars finale!
Which Troupe Will Win the Mini Mirrorball?
Meet your 2025 Fantasy Troupes! Since this was a last minute project and the new season premieres September 16, we randomly selected the final matchups. To keep things fair, no one can draft both members of the same duo. This way, every team has a chance to stay in the ballroom longer.
Next season, a proper “audition” will happen where you can personally select your dancers, we’ll make sure to plan this in advance next season!

Perfect 10s Across the Board: Bonus Opportunities
Here’s how you can rack up extra points with bonus opportunities throughout the season:
- Weekly Dance Bonus: Select the dance style that you think will score the highest for an additional +10 points weekly. This will end once semi-finals begin after week 9.
- First Perfect Score Bonus: +30 points for correctly guessing the FIRST duo to get a perfect score from all judges (+40 points if there’s a guest judge) This can only submitted once.
- Semi Final Bonus: + 5 points for each duo correctly guessed in the semi finale (up to 25 points)
- Finale Bonus: + 30 for correctly guessing first, second AND third place. (All three must be correct; submitted once before the first episode airs)
Official-Unofficial Rules:
- No individual can have two existing members of a duo.
- Dance offs do not add additional points to weekly scores.
- Dance style bonus will not be valid for the semi-final or finale.
- Finale Bonus must be submitted before season starts.
- Any unknown questions brought will be decided on by group vote.

Fantasy Troupe — common questions
What is Fantasy Troupe?
A fantasy league for Dancing with the Stars. You draft dancers from the real cast, and their judges’ scores each week become your points. Think fantasy football, but the players are on the ballroom floor.
How does the draft work?
Everyone drafts two: one professional dancer and one celebrity, from different couples. It runs in snake order over two rounds, live in a draft room, and takes about twenty minutes. If you can’t make it, you build a queue in advance and the system picks from your list when your turn comes up.
How do I score points?
Whatever the judges give your dancers is what you earn. Two dancers scoring 27 and 25 gives you 52 that week. There’s no formula to learn — if you watched the episode, you already know roughly how you did.
What’s the bracket?
A separate set of predictions worth bonus points. Before the season starts you call who goes home each week, plus the winner, runner-up and third place. It locks when the first episode airs, and each week resolves as the results come in.
What happens when my dancer is eliminated?
You replace them from the waiver wire — anyone still in the competition who isn’t already on someone’s roster. Couples are eliminated together, so if your celebrity goes home their professional partner does too. The points you’d already banked stay with you.
Do I need to watch every episode?
No. Scores are entered after each episode and your standings update on their own. Watching makes it more fun, but missing a week costs you nothing — your dancers score whether you saw it or not.
Is there a password to remember?
No. Enter your email and we send a link that signs you in. It works on your phone, and you can add the app to your home screen if you’d rather not dig through email each time.
Can I run a league with my own friends?
Yes. We’ll set up a private league for your group — your own draft, your own leaderboard, nobody outside it can see or join. It’s $30 for the season however many of you play. Get in touch and we’ll build it.
