Crochet isn’t just a hobby for me- it’s a thread that ties me to my roots, my creativity, and a slower, more thoughtful way of creating. My love for crochet began when I was a child, sitting beside my Cuban grandmother guiding my tiny hands through many many basic chains and squares! Those early lessons weren’t just about yarn tension; they were about connection, tradition, and the pure joy of creating something beautiful from almost nothing.

Today, crochet is still one of my favorite ways to create and get out of my own head. I can read patterns when needed, but I love to freehand most of my pieces. There’s a kind of magic in watching something come together naturally with no blueprint, just yarn, a hook, a little bit of imagination and a buttload of patience.

Over the years, my projects have ranged from bags and blankets to clothing, pet items, and so much more. Each piece is a little adventure of its own – sometimes practical, sometimes whimsical, and sometimes never finished.
